The Savillex DST-4000 Acid Purification System is the ultimate, high capacity unit for routine laboratory production of ultra-pure acids or water.
It is supplied complete with everything required to distil ultra-pure acid. The DST-4000 package includes a built-in heating source, separate digital controller, solid stand, necessary fittings, bottle stand, GL45 transfer closures and two 2,000ml Savillex PFA collection bottle. The vessel and wetted parts of the still are moulded entirely of PFA to ensure the highest purity, and its elegant design and compact form factor will fit neatly and efficiently within your existing laboratory fume hood.

The DST-4000 is equipped with a liquid level sensor that will automatically shut off power to the heater when the liquid level in the reservoir drops below 500ml. The automatic shut-off feature is useful when operating the DST-4000 unattended or for an extended period of time, since automatic shut-off ensures the acid is not distilled to dryness. Any residual acid remaining after distillation (typically less than 500ml) is drained to waste. The distillation process can be stopped at any time if high purity acid is needed urgently.
Unlike commercially available bottled high purity acid, that degrades each time the bottle is opened, the DST acid purification systems provide a continuous supply of freshly produced high purity acid, suitable for the most demanding applications such as semiconductor and geochemical analyses.
Laboratories around the world are using the DST-4000 and the smaller DST-1000 systems to save significant costs each year by eliminating high purity acid purchases. Many labs have invested in multiple DST units to supply all of their acid needs.
